TIMBER PEST AND TERMITE INSPECTION
An inspection for timber pests and termite activity requires a licenced operator and is a completely different inspection to a pre-purchase building inspection. It is highly recommended that both a qualified building specialist (building inspector) and an experienced pest control operator inspect the home.
There are a number of building inspectors (and even pest control operators) who carry out both the building and timber pest/termite inspections themselves (a short course is often taken to obtain the most basic of qualifications in one field). The expertise in both specialised professions (1. building and 2. pest/termites) in our experience requires a separate inspection carried out by each independent specialist otherwise the best possible assessment of your soon to be new home may not be made. Over the many years of carrying out building inspections we have met a number of pest control operators who in our view have been very efficient and thorough and as they only specialise in pests and termites they have the skill and experience necessary. We can arrange a pest and termite inspection ($165 inclusive of GST) to coincide with our building inspection which limits any inconvenience to the current homeowner or tenant or if you would prefer to arrange your own pest and termite inspector/ inspection company we can work in with your preferred company and this does not affect our building inspection.

Fixed pricing is based on brick homes with an expected sales price of $800,000 or less. Please refer to our Price List page.
